And, one of the cutest couples ever to have lived...
That's a whole lot of love.

There's nothing I can say that can even come close to expressing the absolute & complete perfection of these photographs.
So I won't even try.
I am so thankful for all the beauty in this world.
Thank you Clayton Austin.
Thank you Tyler + Anna.

#153 Wedding Details

I haven't spent much time looking at martha stewart weddings, although now & then when I am searching for something via google images, I will find it there.
That happened the other day & finally I was sidetracked enough to look at a couple of weddings...

These photographs are actually from the wedding of Martha Stewarts nephew Chris & his husband Tim.
I love this first photo of them, wedded joy.
Both Chris & Tim have careers in music, their sheet music guest book is a perfect example of making the details of the day personal & how delicious does the food look? There are lots more scrumptious food shots on martha stewart, be warned though, they may make you consider licking the computer screen...

Chris + Tim's wedding via martha stewart weddings

Picnicking, lounges & a marquee in a field (a shade of green that Australians can but dream of) , all styled to delight? Yes please. Also I do so love a spot of wedding croquet.
Tea & Cookie favours, see what they've done there? Cute.
Kite flying? Check! I've never heard that quote before, it's a bit lovely?
Last but absolutely by no means least, regardless of this judgment being based on looks alone i have no hesitation in proclaiming, that this is clearly THE best wedding band in the world.
That photo makes my mind explode a little. In the best possible way.

#98 Now We're Getting Somewhere!

Things have been moving along of late, & it feels good.
Obviously I still have SO many things to, of which I shall probably STILL have most to do right up until the date?
However! A great many things have been achieved of late!

A recent trip to Adelaide ticked off a great many things from the decor section of the list, including:
1x Couch, 1x Mirror, 1x Typewriter, 1x Door, 1x Desk, 3x Wooden Crates, 7x Wooden Picture Frames,
As well as yet to be counted vintage china, numerous bottles, jars & pieces of wood...

An awesome introduction to Gepps Cross Markets (look for a man with a van at a stall that is only china, & barter away!), THE single best antiques & vintage shop in Semaphore - think antique shop with op shop prices?!- I've forgotten the name of that store at the moment... or have I hmm? Maybe subconsciously I'm being awfully selfish because I just don't want people to go & buy all the things I couldn't figure out how to get on the plane home as carry on...
Also, Adelaide Rural & Salvage. Blew my mind. If I ever build a house in SA, you can bet at least half of it will come from there.
Went to the North Adelaide Vintage & Fashion Fair (here on facebook) with the sublime Ms T my bridesmaid to be, the ever glamorous Ms S my sister to be & her lovely friend who was an absolute scream! It was here that I came perilously close to becoming a collector of teacups... Eeek!
I have booked our make up artist ( by our I mean the bridal party, not Mr N & I ) as well as our hair stylist,
hooray! We were going to attempt doing our own hair but I changed my mind... obviously I am to vain? Ha.
So more on that another time - hair & makeup not my vanity.

Tapas at Mesa Lunga on Gouger St with Ms T & Ms S. AMAZING. And oh the Sangria!

Went a - shopping with Ms T for her bridesmaids dress... FOUND IT! It. Is. Amazing. Once again I am jealous. Also found her the most fabulous shoes, no luck with mine though. Barefoot anyone?

It was my birthday while away, & I was most amazingly spoilt this year with a trip to Kenji, a modern Japanese restaurant on Hutt St with Mr N, Ms T & Best Man Mr C, simply can not recommend it enough. Heaven in your mouth.
Mr N & I also 'went away' for the weekend & stayed at the Stamford, dined at our favourite Yum Cha establishment Ding Hao & had drinks at  Dragonfly Bar & Casablabla both of which I would highly recommend!
Mr N gave me the new Julia Stone solo album  'The Memory Machine' which is, as to be expected, brilliant.
He also gave me a perfect solid silver engraved bangle, & the mens CK watch that I've been coveting for some time... my first watch in about 10 years?
As yet I have failed to book a florist, despite trying! I am currently thinking that it's a sign that I should stick to the plan to do my own.
I also received an email in response to my request (*ahem* begging)  to have a couple of photos taken at an unnamed horse riding establishment not far from our wedding venue. This I am taking as a sign to commit an act of horse-napping. Or perhaps more likely, climb a fence in my wedding gown at the first horsed paddock we come across....

Big Loves,

Good Morning, it's a beautiful Monday!

Dear Weather Gods,
Thank you for finally remembering where the control dial is... Keep up the good work!

My second youngest sister is staying with us from interstate at the moment, ever so lovely to see her.
Received a most exciting text message before breakfast today from a darling friend of mine, en route to the hospital in labour with baby number two...
HOORAY!!!
Plus, my ma, brother & youngest sister arrive on Friday to stay a few days...
Yes. Yes I will be imprisoning them in my wedding project sweat shop on a production line.

melanie horsnell - can I kiss you again

Um, how wonderful is our Melanie?
The answer is A. Wonderful.

Hope your week is full of the best kinds of marvelous.

#75 Music for Monday ( track five )

Well, somewhere in the world it's Monday .... right?

Not exactly cheery but really just far too wonderful to be described as anything less than perfect.

#72 Music for Monday (track four)

I've been horribly slack this past week. I've felt a bit overwhelmed with list.
Should probably ban list talk for a while shall we?!
Unless of course it's to share that I've been ticking things off  ;)

This weekend we had the kind of weather that makes me thinks that actually it might not be freezing cold for ever & ever & ever...
I'm hopeful! I'm so ridiculously ready for spring this year.

My weekend was mowing lawns (which sounds dull but comes back to weather, not to mention the smell of spring so was actually mighty exciting!) , some grocery shopping (that was dull), a bit of babysitting, some new shoes for the small one & myself AND a lot of fabric shopping for wedding related projects!

Spent last night divided between watching "Away we go" (which was cute), mediating via phone (which was not fun), & giving myself gigantic blisters & welts as I put in a push toward getting wedding table runners ticked off the list (they are not).

I was saying to Mr N  yesterday, I think maybe we've forgotten how to have a weekend. Like a real one???

Here's my James...

"How sweet it is" - James Taylor

James have i told you lately that I love you?

Even though I should be posting a little more frequently this week, the truth of the matter is that I probably won't because...
MY SISTER IS COMING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm just a little bit excited... She is after all the greatest sister that ever ever was.
Our friend Mr B is also coming & I just can't wait to see them.
Eeee!!!

So my apologies in advance...

Love this song so ridiculously much.

This song is invited to our wedding. Ben Harper is also welcome?

Hope your weekend was of the most excellent variety!

#58 Music For Monday

I've decided Monday will be music days, & I will share the music that inspires me to love.

I'm sick at the moment (will this winter & flu season never end?!) & really not able to function well, so forgive me if I am ignoring the posts I should be doing, & pretending that today is actually yesterday so that I don't have to write so much/think.

Angus & Julia Stone. No doubt this will not be the last you'll see of them on this blog.
Their music is just delicious, and they are 2 of the sweetest most genuine people you will ever meet.
Enjoy!

#29 Again, I Digress...

But surely you'll forgive me once you see this sweetness?!

Besides, it is quite subject related really....

After all, what's life without music? A heck of a lot poorer I say.

Weddings too ;)

Hope you love this piece of lovely as much as I...
