#145 Bridesmaid & Flower Girl Jewelry Gifts

I think jewelry as gifts for bridesmaids & flower girls is a fabulous idea. If you buy carefully then it can be something that they wear often - a token of your love & gratitude & a little piece of your wedding too!
I think that perhaps it's a rare thing that there will be a 'one fits all' gift, but gifts that are different but in the same vein can sometimes address that.

Anyway, here's a very small selection of trinkets to inspire you.
As well as possible gifts the crystal earrings, studs & diamond bangles could easily be worn as bridal jewelry, possibly even the lotus or bubble necklaces for a more contemporary bride.

The studs or bangles could also work well as a gift for flower girls that will easily transition through the years with them but for something less precious, these tiny initial necklaces could work especially well as most children love to see their name on their belongings!

And if you're looking for something a little more 'now' for the little ones, I'm sure these cute pieces would be very well received...

#119 Fabric Wedding Accessories

One of the diy projects I didn't get around to was a fabric banner, in retrospect I should have just compromised & bought one. Not much of a compromise really when there are banners as cute as these from bpoetic on etsy!
The Bridesmaid gift tags are very sweet, I do like a 'bridesmaid proposal'  after all (that already feels like so long ago)...
The colour of that flower brooch is a little bit yummy? Great for bridesmaids & flowergirls, perfect for the mother of the bride or groom. Or perhaps just because?

Petite White Hair clip B. Poetic Aspiring Petals Necklace Pretty Little Veil

Sweet Little b. Poetic Ring Pillow

I can just imagine that fabric necklace with a simple, understated dress, it would look gorgeous. Can't you just see it?
The headband is flowergirl perfect.

I wouldn't change my paloma's nest ring bowl for the world. It is now one of my most favourite wedding keepsakes & is just plain lovely home decor, however,  this ring pillow is very lovely so again I must question the possibility of having a ring bowl/pillow for each ring? ;)

In all honesty I'm not a fan of shoe clips, but if I did, I would love the shoe clips from bpoetic so if you do then you should definitely check them out! These are my top three - blue, yellow+pink & cream.

#42 Baskets Anyone?

If the results for an internet search of the words 'flower girl' is anything to go by, people subject their flower girls to a whole lot of scary.
I'm talking cringe worthy hideous. In numerous layers. Upon layer. Upon layer...

So I was wading through these marshmallowy nightmares and I started wondering...Do they know? These brides I mean? Do they they know it's so very 'ugh'? Is it a misguided budget decision perhaps? Or is this actually the taste of the majority as google would have me believe?
Most importantly- HOW DO I KNOW I'M NOT ONE OF THEM???
How do I know that my taste too, does not make people desperate to steal one of those drowning in kitsch flower girls baskets away to use as a sick bag substitute?
Calm down now eh?

I also wondered how I've lasted this long without starting a 'worst of' blog.

Anyway, I've been pretty wedding slack lately but I think I'm finally getting my wedding mojo back. So rejoice dear friends! Or despair? ;)

Here's some flower girl baskets that I think are pretty sweet. Minus the puffy stuff!
My favourite overall is the second one, it's quite unique I think?

The centre one with the lavender in this next row - I don't actually like, but I like the concept.
Loving the Chrysanthemums and the Succulents.
Fun fact: Apparently you're not supposed to be able to kill Succulents... I can kill any plant. It's a talent.

I already have my ring 'pillow' picked out but I think this one is a bit awesome too!

Is there anything you have ever loved, wedding or not, that you look back on later and ask yourself "WHY?"
Others than ex's of course! Ha.
Do share!
