#155 Stunning Centrepieces

There are so many photographers who's work I am completely in awe of & the girls at U.S based Simply Bloom Photography certainly rank very highly in my list of favourites.
Their photographs are seriously stunning, as are these centrepieces from the recent wedding of Geri + Zach ...

Loving the colours & mix in textures, love that it's a bit quirky & fun but still absolutely perfect & polished. Each one looks like a miniature work of art, each one is a miniature work of art!
If I could redo my own centrepieces, I  think I would want them exactly like this. Just gorgeous.

Speaking of gorgeous...

Geri + Zach used black as their accent colour, I'm lusting over Geri's fabulous shoes! I also love that the shoe shot is a little more contemporary? I much prefer this to the standard shoe photograph that so many people seem to take & it's particularly fitting for shoes such as these that break the 'bridal' norm.

#138 Centrepieces - Flowers in Vintage Bottles

I think I've mentioned before that when I was growing up, our house backed on to state forest, during the gold rush is was a very busy area & the forest was filled with old mine shafts as well as things (mostly 'rubbish') left behind by the miners.
Among these discarded objects the most common things to find where old cans & bottles.
It was rubbish really, but it fascinated me. Mostly because it was such a tangible reminder of those people that came in such numbers, chasing a dream.
As a child there was something very surreal & magical feeling about the traces they left.

I still love vintage bottles & I adore vintage bottles used as vases, especially as centrepieces.
Here's a few pretty-full examples!

I think there's something especially lovely & elegant looking about the simplicity of using only white blooms.
Gorgeous as home decor as well obviously!

#37 Tea For Two

I find this to be utterly delightful.

And also somewhat amusing.

Which results in me find it even more delightful.

In short? Yes. This delights me.

#3 Centerpiece Affirmation

I'm so excited!
I've had this idea in stuck in head for a while right, I don't want flowers as our centerpieces, nor candles - at least not as the feature in any case - and instead I was wanted to get some bare branches and lay them in the center of the table with either origami blooms, origami cranes - which will also be used as decorations in other capacities, or those little
feathered birds kind of like this on them...

Either white like this, or in neutral/brown colours, more like robins or swallows....
Can you picture what I mean?
So anyhow, pretty set on it but was yet to see anything similar to what I wanted so even though it's so clear in my mind, wasn't sure whether it was one of those things that only does work in your head until...

She is obviously a genius for starters, if you've seen her awesome blog then you are well aware that it's common knowledge, but aside from that...

The concept totally works right?! LOVING it.
