If your budget allowed they would also make fantastic favours (a guests first initial) that would be gorgeous & also gender neutral!

And imagine these zinc bird tags doubling as place finders & favours, with your guests name written on them in chalk that they can later use as decor in their home, as an addition to their 'festive' decorations, or even as a bookmark? You could also use them as the table marker itself again using chalk to write the number.

#139 Sublime Sunday Suppers

I have just discovered Sunday Suppers & boy, have I fallen hard.
This blog seriously blows my mind & I so wish I was in New York so I could go along!
Sunday Suppers are classes taught by local chefs in Brooklyn, where you cook & then dine together. The food is market fresh (look at the pictures, you can certainly tell!), local & organic.
Fortunately the sublimely delicious styling & photography by Karen Mordechai really does make this blog an absolute treat, even if you're still wishing you could climb through the screen & be there...

#125 Doily Decor

Yesterday got me thinking. Uh oh? Yes, uh oh is probably right, because what I was thinking is that it's been a while since I had a good doily fix.

What is it with me & doilies? 

Am I being selfish & indulgent by basking in my love for them? Well, yes.

Have I made it my mission in life to sway people in their hatred for them? Certainly.

Seriously, how could you resist when I bring you photos like these...

How gorgeous is that slightly different take on the bunting using just the little pieces? I'm going to have a go at making some of that for sure. I also think that table runner is one of the best I have seen, the photography is pretty perfect too!

Well. That was enjoyable. For me anyway! Never mind though, I'll go back to suppressing my doily lust now...
