#161 Exciting News: Part 1

So the first piece of super exciting news...

The current edition of Brides of Adelaide magazine arrived in newsagents this week...

Brides of Adelaide - On Sale New!

The cover is quite gorgeous don't you think?

I am also very much looking forward to the six page feature on a wedding with THE most handsome groom that ever was, the most stunning bridesmaids to walk the aisle in all of wedding history, the most exceptionally lovely gorgeous ring bearer in the world & the cutest, sweetest flower girls.... & I'm not at all biased?
I'm trying to be very patient as I wait for my copy to arrive in the post!

A huge thank you again to our marvelous photographer Karalee of Angelsmith Photography, who captured so many of memories of the best day of my life perfectly.
Also to Danielle at Brides of Adelaide for being so very lovely, Mr N & I feel very honoured to have had our wedding selected!

#154 Eucalyptus Bouquets

Love love loving these stunning florals from the wedding of Lauren + Josh.
The colours are so deliciously fresh & the arrangements are so perfectly organic & wonderfully individual.

The grooms boutonniere manages the ideal balance of being both understated while still bringing a pop of colour. I'll make a big call & say that it is possibly my favourite boutonniere to date?
Lauren's bouquet was a mix of seeded eucalyptus, cotton balls on the stalk, ranunculus, hydrangea, anemones, dahlias & freesia while each of her bridesmaids carried a bouquet of seeded eucalyptus with one element from the brides.
I love anemones but I've never seen them in here so I wonder if perhaps you can't get them in Australia?

I think each arrangement is absolutely delightful & all together, something that looks a lot like perfection.

#153 Wedding Details

I haven't spent much time looking at martha stewart weddings, although now & then when I am searching for something via google images, I will find it there.
That happened the other day & finally I was sidetracked enough to look at a couple of weddings...

These photographs are actually from the wedding of Martha Stewarts nephew Chris & his husband Tim.
I love this first photo of them, wedded joy.
Both Chris & Tim have careers in music, their sheet music guest book is a perfect example of making the details of the day personal & how delicious does the food look? There are lots more scrumptious food shots on martha stewart, be warned though, they may make you consider licking the computer screen...

Picnicking, lounges & a marquee in a field (a shade of green that Australians can but dream of) , all styled to delight? Yes please. Also I do so love a spot of wedding croquet.
Tea & Cookie favours, see what they've done there? Cute.
Kite flying? Check! I've never heard that quote before, it's a bit lovely?
Last but absolutely by no means least, regardless of this judgment being based on looks alone i have no hesitation in proclaiming, that this is clearly THE best wedding band in the world.
That photo makes my mind explode a little. In the best possible way.

#151 Photobooth Love

It's no secret I love a photobooth, but how extra gorgeous are these shots from the wedding of Ben + Erin on One Fine Day?

Great unique backdrop & what lovely little marriage celebration snapshots.

#100 Wedded!

I am officially wed.

It was an absolutely AMAZING day, & I'll take the leap, head out onto that cliche limb & say it was the best
day of my life.
I am also delighted to report that Mr N feels the same way. Which has to be a good start right?

Once again I am in the position of returning to you all after a significant stretch of silence...
I could explain that this is because I didn't want to give things away to my readers that were also to be guests.
I could also explain that there was a big part of my 'wedding brain' occupied by things that were personal & not appropriate to share in a public forum such as this.
OR I could just take some very wise advice I've been given & say:

Hey y'all!
I've been planning my super awesome wedding & have been far too busy running around like a chooken with it's head removed (yes, that reference does extend beyond my chicken party) to fill you in on all the madness... but never fear (or do?) for I am returned & ready to share my copious amounts of joy with you all!
Not to mention all the details details details....

Yep. I think I'll roll with that option.

So I'm back. I think it's impossible to share it all at once because 'it' is a lot.
Plus I need to have a little ponder on the relinquishing or anonymity in regard to photographs, oh, & perhaps consult Mr N on that also?
However I will continue to post things that I find & love in between.
I was also thinking, that perhaps if anyone was in the midst of planning insanity & had questions they would like to ask, I could do my best to answer them? If the mood so takes you, please feel free to send me an email?

So here is a little sneak peek from our personal photos - we are awaiting the professional shots most eagerly!

#95 Well Now.

If that doesn't make you want to be a bridesmaid!

Stunning.

Thanks apartment # 34 for this spectacular piece of eye candy!

I most especially love the dress second from the left...
Oh, & the one in the middle too? Yeah, her mumma made that dress... (jealousy is ugly jealousy is ugly)

I know I've been super absent... I've been procrastinating.
I do have lots of planning progress news though!

#56 I'm Officially Green

The wedding of Golriz & Devon is the cutest wedding I've seen in... well, quite possibly ever?

Um excuse me? 10 weeks in the planning?!

photography by ryan lash photography

I don't think I can find words to describe this amount of sweet.

I don't know the bride, I don't know the groom...
As far as I am aware we have no shared family, no mutual friends...
I'm definitely not pregnant so it's definitely not hormones at play...
Basically, what I'm trying to say, is that I have absolutely no excuse for crying - more than once - while watching their wedding film .

I'm a little embarrassed about my over abundance of tears actually? However I would be more embarrassed if my friend hadn't also cried when I showed her (she IS pregnant so therefore has the necessary hormones to blame but we will choose to ignore this inconvenient detail).

All their wedding details are totally inspired, but if you have watched this video you will undoubtedly agree, the most delicious heart melting part of it all, is how much they love each other.
If you think it's not possible to have love coming out your pores?
Then obviously you haven't watched the video yet.

Go to Etsy to see more envy inducing photos & to read their wedding story written by the divinely gorgeous Golriz herself!

Did you watch the video? Do it. I'm not joking. Do it.
